An image I feel has succeeded.

This image was taken during the early lockdown period and was one of my first attempts at a self portrait. With time on my hands I decided to familiarise myself with Photoshop and fulfil the need to shoot something.

I'm pleased with this portrait for several reasons; I had attempted several methods of focussing the lens on myself with varying success, this was one of those thumbs-up moments. The lighting and exposure was pleasing and I didn't look too awkward in my pose. I also used this image to practise retouching skills learnt from countless videos on YouTube.

I've given the image an almost painterly feel, a technique I would like to explore further in future works.
